We were playing with our new telescope and captured these images of a couple of our campgrounds resident bald eagles! Unbelievable detail!!!

Then I adopted this utterly adorable gnome! He also hides the ugly clot of cables connecting the tv, sound bar and game system, so – BONUS!

Our most recent attempts at astrophotography have yeilded amazing results! Three out of four scheduled images were successful.

Another lovely trip along the train tracks with Revolution Rails! This time we got a staff car, which meant Chris could rev up the battery assist at will! Vroom-vroom!

Another clear night, so of course there were more attempts at astrophotography! Success for all four image attempts, tho these two were the best by far!

At last it’s here! But sadly the weather could not be more inauspicious… “Singing in the rain, just singing in the rain!” Ha! Lobster boat races were delayed by pouring rain, but we perservered in rain gear and umbrella for over an hour!

We finally bailed as a dense seafog rolled in, making it impossible to see the boats – besides which we were soaked through!

To warm us up I sauteed onion, celery, green pepper, and yellow squash until the yellow squash essentially melted. I added green beans, sweet Italian chicken sausage, fresh scraped corn off the cob, Penzeys Outrage spice and elbow noodles. Simply scrumptious!

The Grand Finale!!!
The Winter Harbor Lobster Festival Parade!
