We finally drove up Cadillac Mountain! As expected, the views were absolutely amazing… extraordinary really! Exceptional! And even tho it was *extremely* popular (we got the last available parking spot) there was still an awe inspiring serenity.

I look forward to revisiting in October! Hopefully the fall colors will render the views an absolute explosion of fiery glory!

Turns out I have acquired so many nature guides that my jar of shells was no longer able to serve as a bookend. It kept crashing off the table, but fortunately didn’t break! So? I bought a heavy zinc weight and painted it! I love how the rustic little lighthouse turned out! And the books are quite secure now too!

I found a charming new moose with a yellow fishermans hat, holding a lobster, and added it to the Maine themed dinette!

We’ve been missing our monthly Blackfriars Theater outings, fortunately a cure is at hand – the Acadia Repetory Theatre in Somesville! Their season offerings look as delightful as the picturesque little village itself!

We have only seen one of these plays previously (Dracula) and I look forward to seeing this companys productions! Today was “Dog Mom”, very cute piece!

My ankle is well on the mend, tho still very tender by the evening and so I wear the Terminator boot to bed each night. Speaking of ankle injuries, this afternoon our friend Andy texted us the following:

Tami (she who crotched me this adorable nudibrach!) was at their family reunion in upstate New York when she fell HARD. She completely dislocated her ankle, breaking not only her tibia but two breaks in her fibula also! 😳 Clearly family reunions are hazardous to your health!!!
