Todays adventure – riding the historic Downeast Scenic Railroad!

It was a glorious day, low 70s and clear. Maine perfection! We chose to ride in the open car with its picnic tables in order to get unobstructed views!

As we passed thru the Card Brook wetland we saw four large nests atop poles with osprey peering out of each over a lake filled with waterlilies!

Our conductor gave me a private tour of the closed Couch – 155! It was spectacular, with tons of historic photos from the Ellsworth railway hung above the windows!

All in all a very pleasant journey!
I adore train rides, and you have some great pictures.
