We picked up our beloved Master Jack for an outing to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden! YES, at last we got hugs & tickles & giggles & kisses again! We “spied with our own little eyes” dragonflies & a turtle at the pond, and took many paths (some we made up) and had a simply delightful time wandering wherever Jacks fancy took us!

We even discovered a whimsical pig hidden behind the bushes at the ponds edge!

Afterward we celebrated Fathers Day with Josh manning the grill (steaks!) and Mel making delicious baby asparagus, baked spuds, and an amazing arugula & baby spinach salad dressed with avocado oil & lemon juice!

Wonderful day, perfect actually! Cannot tell you how great it was to be Jacks personal jungle gym again, chasing him around the house laughing! Feels like life is finally getting back to normal, thank goodness for vaccines!
