Beneath the Seas & Night Skies!

Another lovely visit at The Oceanarium! The remaining baby lobsters are now twice as big as their 525 already released siblings! Moon snails, crabs, starfish, & lobsters! There was even a surprise baby sea cucumber the size of a ping pong ball found in the pipes as the filters were being changed!!! So cute!

Another perfect night to play with my DWARF mini smart telescope!

Chris was relaxing on the deck when our little hummingbird flitted in! It apparently did not notice Chris as it sipped nectar from multiple flowers, letting out a tiny “cheep” as it arrived at each new bloom! All was beautiful until T-Rex sat up to inspect the situation and the irridescent hummer took off instantly!

Little Moose Island in the distance

We hiked across the rocks, seaweed and mud to Little Moose Island at low tide! The tide pools were a bit pitiful, full of nothing but snails and a scattering of barnacles.

Little Moose Island!!!

Our trusty hiking poles earned their keep today as we scrambled over the slippery rocks. But – Success! We made it over to Little Moose island and back again safely!
