Party central was a great house on Branch Lake that Greg found! It was big enough for the entire clan, with decks and screened porches as well as kayaks and paddleboards! He also arranged for a pontoon party boat!

Tuesday, before Gregs birthday dinner at Traceys seafood, was “the fellowship of the Beehive”. A rocky scramble up the mountain which includes ladders, climbs with dicey handholds and sketchy footing… (Totally NOT my scene 👀) But they made it!

Congrats to our hardy hiking folk who took on the Beehive!

But on to the main Maine event! Lobsta! Lobsta! and *more* Lobsta! Plus blueberry margaritas, and many other exotic beverages!

Wednesdays adventures started brilliantly with a hop on/hop off bus excursion to Mount Desert Island!

Clannus obrienspawn spotted in the wild, displaying typical behaviours of the species which provides valuable insights into their evolutionary roots!

Then I fell down & went boom. (CLEARLY my decision NOT to try the Beehive was a good one!) An ambulance ride to the ER ensued and we discovered I broke my ankle so, that’s annoying.

But the show must go on, and the rest of the crew continued to Thunder Hole and Otter Peaks!

Thursday the intrepid fisherfolk took to the lake at first light hunting a fresh fish meal! They caught a large mess of very very tiny fish! But a good time was had by all!

Then it was on to the game room for ping pong, billiards, cards, corn hole and Ms Pacman!

And then Paul bested Neal!

The heat dome enveloping the US finally arrived in Maine with temps in the 90’s! But overall the weather has been perfect. The Weather channel has been predicting showers daily and so far we have totally lucked out!

Tonight we are back in our Maine Mansion as I can’t manage the scissor steps of our truck camper. But we’ll leave the pupsters here and commute to the party house Friday, Saturday & Sunday!
