We spent the first night in our beloved “Dog House”, so named as we got it so Jakie could travel with us!

The first morning we were quite surprised! Awoke with sunlight streaming into the camper & assumed it was about 7. Actually it was just after FIVE…! Walked the pups along the shore then we walked over to Tracey’s Seafood for breakfast!

Chef T makes fresh homemade donuts, cinnamon rolls, and biscuits (to DIE for!) every morning! Chris asked for a breakfast bowl of clam chowder, which was divine! They just started getting lobsters last night & are cooking them up now so maybe we’ll try a lobster roll at lunch tomorrow for my Mothers Day/Birthday! And, wow, a bald eagle just flew over the campsite! 😊 We’ve been told two pair nest in the trees straight ahead of our site!

In order to get to Acadia Seashore Campground you *have* to drive on the Schoodic National Scenic Byway. Simply gorgeous!

We went exploring Ellsworth as we waited for the Maine Mansion to arrive. We were delighted to find Chris’s favorite beer, Golden Monkey, at the Global Beverage Warehouse! A great grocery store, Hannafords, is there as well.

The camper arrived and is now all set up! The freezer full of beef arrived still frozen solid and all of our careful packing totally paid off!

Da boyz are loving the Maine life! Enough room for zoomies and today I broke out the stock pot to cook up a batch of their favorite meal – hamburger, scrambled egg, pumpkin and rice. With full tummies they have decided it’s nap time!
