We’ve been thoroughly enjoying our morning walks, ~five miles a day! Pretty sure those walks get credit for the amazing weight loss! I am thrilled to report that I have lost fifteen pounds!!! My small framed 5’4″ self had “blossomed” to 126 pounds – for reference I only weighed 124 when I arrived at the hospital to give birth to Josh. Very, very pleased by this! Our yard has gorgeous fleabane in bloom, massed beside the meadow and driveway! Such a happy, cheerful little flower!

Our yard also has a new resident. A baby oppossum has been spotted wandering through the Secret Garden several times this week! Have to admit the baby is cuter than the adults, and since we no longer have chickens it is welcome to make itself quite at home. Go forth, young possum, and dine heartily on ticks!

The republiKKKlan party is *still* pushing The Big Lie. Still claiming the election was stolen. When Liz Cheney told the cold, hard truth they ousted her from party leadership.

“If you want leaders who will enable and spread his destructive lies, I’m not your person, you have plenty of others to choose from. That will be their legacy,” Cheney told her Republican colleagues Wednesday morning, according to a person familiar with her remarks who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the private meeting. “But I promise you this, after today, I will be leading the fight to restore our party and our nation to conservative principles, to defeating socialism, to defending our republic, to making the GOP worthy again of being the party of Lincoln.”

Rep. Kinzinger (R) also called out his party for their cowardly seditionist supporting attempts to whitewash Jan 6 & for their fealty to Trump.
