Strolling Along

The air was thick, the clouds were moody. Meadows still filled with chicory, yarrow, and queen annes lace.

We walked just over 4 miles, clocking 38 flights of stairs today! As goldfinches flitted hither & yon, tiny specks of brilliant yellow & black.

Awaiting the promised rains, we need them desperately. Too many weeks in the mid 90’s have scorched our area.

On the brighter side my naked ladies are in bloom!

On the more irritating side, a groundhog has broken into my sweet potato patch – decimating it.

Let’s hope the plants can recover & give us sweet potatoes this fall.
