The day started fabulously when the kids facetimed us to see our beloved 5 1/2 year old grandson, Jack, on the hunt for bunny eggs in their yard! SUCCESS
Then off for our daily walk.
The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hearsMy heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds
that rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies
from a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over
stones on its way
To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray
Birdsong & butterflies dancing on the gentle breezes, glorious day for country walking! Honeysuckle coming into bloom now too!
Fortunately the pack of Covidiot cyclists from yesterday were nowhere to be seen. While on our 4 mile stroll I got a text from my brother Charlie with a photo of his grandson Tavish holding his new baby sister Carys!
Seems a sweet reminder of life bursting forth, the promise of spring. In honor of Ostara/Easter we put some Copper Belt wine
in to chill for tonight. We’ll pair it with this nice dark chocolate, should be delicious!
Oh, almost forgot home garden news! My may apples are spreading gloriously along the front walk and our Carolina allspice shrub is in bud for the first time ever! (i planted it about 8 years ago, we gardeners are a patient lot 😎)
Have a happy hoppy hopefilled day!
