Westward HO! Heading to Seattle to see the ‘rents, Tom & Merry! Today took us from Batesville to Louisville Kentucky! We passed the tiny village of Mahan in West-by-gawd-Virginia (obviously Cousin Larry’s family name is – you guessed it- Mahan!) ! We arrived too late for any Kentucky Bourbon Trail distillery tours (Last one starts at 4pm? They close at 5? Happy Hour anyone?!?)

So we visited the Bourbon Trail Musem and picked up our Passports for the return trip!

Across the street was a Horse, Of Course! It is Kentucky Blue Grass country, after all!

And then we happened upon the factory that makes the World Famous Louisville Slugger!!!

Lookie there! The newest distillery on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail – Michters, opened just last year! Reminds me of Munich…
