Spring is officially here! Tonights full moon, the Worm Moon, marks the final super moon of 2019 and the first time in almost 20 years that a full moon/super moon has occurred on the spring equinox!
Spring is definitely showing her colors in Garching!
Interesting side note, while teens & young teens filled the plaza buying pizza & chatting Monday & Tuesday afternoon today it was all toddlers with their parents and middle schoolers! Also today roller blades made their first appearance and almost every young child was skating instead of cycling!
Another fun note: Garching postal service uses bicycles to deliver the mail!
“Birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it…” Ah, spring…
I’m sure you can guess where this image was taken, our evening stop before bed! Here’s the bell that gets rung when a new barrel is tapped! I’ll leave you with this lovely image of Virgin & Child riding on a sliver of the crescent moon, it somehow evokes spring for me!
Nice way to deliver mail!!
