The dazzling yellow, scarlet red, and neon orange have faded to a muted tapestry of gold, rust and brown, yet amid the fall foliage a splash of lavender unexpectedly appeared… One of my lilac bushes is in bloom in November? This seems a lovely gift from Mother Nature, brightening my day quite delightfully!

During our morning walkies with the boys all our familiar favorites serenade us! We were seeing a small herd of deer in the lower meadow but, unsurprisingly, they appear to have relocated up the mountain to the safety of Shenandoah National Park for the hunting seasons duration.

On a personal note, I am thrilled to report the latest breast MRI has shown no additional bad bits! Only the original LCIS ER+ from last spring, and that has not grown or changed – so yay! Today the surgeon (who last year had suggested removing that area) has told us that the followup MRI makes her feel quite comfortable with just watching & waiting! Also positive is that my eGFR is back to normal at long last (it went south because of the fenofibrate I was prescribed)! AND – in a trifecta of good medical news – my heart CRT still shows NO blockages at all! This cardiac CRT was a special study UVA enrolled me in 3 years ago. It is following patients with astronomically high cholesterol levels but no ill effects on their hearts, like lucky me!

Our holiday card display is now complete as this years cards have arrived!

Finally -we are absolutely over the moon to report that yesterdays election was a brilliant blue tsunami!!!

It was a brutal repudiation of Trump and his quisling enablers. Let us hope that the Dems learn the right lesson from this. I have already called my Senators.

Can’t wait to hear results in the final two Senate races! Watching the GOP (Guardians of Perverts) circular firing squad in action after what some conservative papers are calling an “extinction level event” for the party will be quite amusing!
