Critters on the beach!

Ferry to Fort Matanzas, an NPS monument! A truly cool tiny Spanish fort that was manned by a crew of seven for thirty day stints guarding the river entry to Saint Augustine!

Look at all the wonderful wildlife at Matanzas! We have id’d all of the birds displayed here during our time at Flagler except for the Northern harrier, great horned owls, northern gannets & ruddy turnstones.

The next morning we took the boys to the beach for sunrise!

Continued on to Betty Steflick for our regular morning walk! Full tide, simply exquisite!
