Crossed into Vermont only to be taunted by road signs yet again…

But, still it’s Vermont! And just like that we added another new state to our map!

Sadly no more *live* moose sightings to report but I really can’t complain. I mean I had planned on seeing 12 lighthouses and we actually saw 23! Also we’ve learned that moose hate heat, so days in the 70’s are keeping them higher up in the mountains at the moment.

Moose River campground is an awesome little place! The owners have put together “The Belly-Ache Tour” with a map, directions, and descriptions for local sugar houses, maple candy & syrup houses, covered bridges, Ben & Jerrys factory & its flavor “graveyard”! It includes Cabots Creamery, the Von Trapp family lodge, and Johnsons Woolen Mill where LLBean fleece is made! We’re popping the camper in the morning to take the tour!

We’ve also been warned to keep the pupsters far away from the campground cat, Mickey, who was crouched under a car. Apparently he likes to pounce on unsuspecting dogs…! Message heard and heeded!
