Acadia National Park!

We started todays journey with Bass Harbor lighthouse. We took the pretty wooded cliff walk first!

Then looped back to see the lighthouse itself. The attached keepers lodge is now a private residence, with incredible views!

Bass Harbor

We decided to go back to camp and pop the camper off before attempting Acadia’s Loop Road. Good thing too as there were multiple low clearance bridges that would have decapitated our camper!

Acadia is a scenic wonder, and like so many National Parks it is extremely popular and very crowded! We looped the Hull Visitor Centers *massive* parking lots to no avail. There wasn’t a single spot to be had so we wandered on down Loop Road!

First scenic stop on the loop

A better photo to show what you’re looking for might help…?
Now can you see it?
more scenic stops!
And more scenic stops!
etcetera…

We stopped at a nice seafood restaurant in Bar Harbor on our way home and indulged in Lobstah Chowdah, & clam chowder! The ambiance was perfection – dockside seating with marvelous views!

The view from our pierside table!

Back at camp we took the pupsters for a stroll and started planning tomorrows adventures! I’ll just leave you with a shot of sunset point at our campground.

Oh – and our lighthouse count for the trip is now 19!
