He wrote this years ago but it feels so appropriate now:
I now rise to the spiritual mountain top. I rise above the limited earthly plane of problems & limitations. I am now pure spirit, liberated from the world of pain, sickness, war & death. I now project my soul into the peaceful realm of Shangri-La where I am in the eternal springtime of my soul’s immortality. All the dark shadows of earth now drop away from me. I now clear my mind of all the negative forces of the earth & my soul is bathed in the white magic Astral rays of peace, harmony, happiness, joy & love.

You will be missed, Eeyore.
As his friend Steve texted us:
Tom’s love for people and his kind ways will never stop lighting our journey through life. I think he is, and always will be, a Saint.
You were such a loving soul .. you will be greatly missed grandpa. I love you forever and always.

Our sweet and gentle Tom. A nurturing soul—to his kitties, and all of us who came to know him through our friendship with Merry.

Thank you for being the hippie power couple. Tom always exuded love light, warmth, kindness and hope. The two of you together changed the energy in a room when you were present….and I have a feeling you will continue to do that…showing up as a spirit of generous love in meetings around the sound , like old Renton. Just so fortunate to have met you Tom…such a sweet spirit.

My heart goes out to you Merry. He was a wonderful man with vision to see from the top of the mountain. I didn’t know the rest of the family but you should all find peace.
I just lost my baby sister on the 23 and what keeps me going is that when I look up into the sky I see her spirit telling me she is in a better space and her time of suffering in hospice are over. I had 3 sisters and one older. No brothers. Mary was 5 years younger than me.

Thanks for the memories Tom. Those many years of taking meetings into the RJC helped many people. It was Serendipity to see you and Mary in Akron.
