Dawg, Chris and I rolled out October 24th for a nice long fall weekend! leaves are turning nicely towards Danville. Our first night was a lovely South Carolina state park -Sesquicentennial!Great water playground – perhaps a place to bring Jack one day?

Friday morning we explored Congaree National Park!

This sign outside the visitor center gave us pause…

Astonishing biodiversity exists in Congaree National Park, the largest intact expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the southeastern United States. Awe inspiring State & National Champion trees tower over the forest!

Then on to Daytona Beach to visit Charlie & Pam! Saturday we toured the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse complex. Fascinating!

Tomorrow is the big celebration – Jack & Juliette’s birthday celebration!
