Schoodic Peninsula

Today was just pure serendipity, full of unplanned delights! Driving the scenic coast road to Lubec we saw a sign for Acadia National Park Schoodic Peninsula, so heck yeah, we took THAT turn!

The ranger told us we were good to go on the loop road and that the Schoodic Institute had the National Park stamps for my passport – so off we went! Stopping in at every scenic overlook on the way!

This was a wonderful bonus! Look closely at the photo… Squint *really* hard and you can just make out the Winter Harbor Lighthouse on Mark Island!

zoomed in!

And just like that we have captured TWENTY lighthouses this trip so far!

I absolutely love the stone & brick artistry on the Schoodic Institute building!

The docents were quite impressed with my massive National Parks passport and the fact we’re on our fourth book! They turned us on to https://parkstamps.org/ !

We’re now in Lubec, Maine. (Americas eastern most town!) At the Sunset Point RV park. It’s a cool breezy afternoon and this is the view out of our camper door! Below is the view from our picnic table!

It’s five o’clock somewhere and these chairs are awaiting us with our frosty beverages! Life Is Good!

And we saw three seals frolicking in the bay at sunset!!! Super bonus!!!
