This morning Chris exclaimed “We are in the land of no resistance – Why-ohm-ing” And yes, he was quite pleased with himself!

Wyoming is the state of weird billboards! “Prevent food waste, Eat your roomates leftovers” and “Shop Locally, In your friends closet”…?

Acre upon acre of windmills slowly turning as herds of cattle graze beneath them with their antelope friends! Mountains are a hazy mirage in the distance, still obscured by the smoke from Canadian wildfires.

We spent the night in Little America, Wyoming. Currently it’s a tacky tourist trap hotel/diner/gas station/RVpark but it has a fascinating back story. In the 1890s the original founder (Covey) was a teenager herding sheep in this desolate corner of Wyoming when a blizzard hit.

He was forced to stay out overnight and thought that one day he would build a motel & restaurant for other tired travelers. He finally opened Little America in 1934, at the same spot where he was stranded in the storm!

We saw two bald eagles & three dust devils today as we passed thru the high desert scrub of Utah. By the time we reached Idaho the smoky haze had lifted and we had clear views of the mountain ranges in the distance!

Spending the night in a lovely little campground beside the Snake River. Heyburn Riverside RV park. There’s a nice paved path along the river with places to put in kayaks! Looks like a spot to revisit in the future, and stay a few days!

Tomorrow we’ll stay at our favorite Harvest Host- Copper Belt Winery! Meanwhile here are da boyz with their toys!
