St Andrews State Park

Such a delight! We left the “deluxe rv” concrete parking lot in Panama City for a nature lovers heaven on earth! The view from our campsite is utterly awesome!

The beaches here have pure white sand expanses, reached after crossing over the gorgeous dunes on boardwalks. Pristine natural perfection, so unlike the loud crowded Panama City beaches. We walked on the latter this morning – even at 8:30 it was crowded.

Panama City is just entirely too commercial and touristy for our tastes. St Andrews State Park, however, suits us to a T!

Over at the campgrounds it’s a totally different waterside habitat. Again, lovely and so peaceful!

This campground is simply wonderful! When we come back we’ll have to take the guided snorkeling tour around Shell Island to see the turtles, dolphins, fish, and other critters! Today was a double red flag day so no one was allowed in the water.
