Birthday Celebrations in Florida!

The pupsters & we departed for points south first thing Wednesday morning! Our first stop was Sesquicentennial State park in South Carolina. After walking da boyz around the campground, with them enthusiastically sniffing every tree, we settled in for the night. Sadly the Capitals lost the first game of round two in the Stanley Cup playoffs last night… But on a more positive note we collected *29* states today!

We stayed at Altamaha state park in Georgia our second evening, lovely spot right on the river but sadly adjoining a rundown trailer park. However the Capitals womped the Carolina Canes 3:1, so that was excellent! Huge thunderstorm rolled through at bedtime also, love hearing rain on the roof!

Once we arrived at Charlie’s he presented Chris with a plaque he commissioned for Chris’s retirement! It’s perfect, no?

We gifted Charlie a fused glass piece that I had purchased in the late 80’s at the Boardwalk Art Festival in Va Beach! It made me laugh when I first saw it, so I had to have it! A perfect “Florida Man: Miami Vice Era” gift for Charlie’s 70th!

Know who else is turning 70 this year? Kermit the Frog! Originally created by Jim Henson in 1955 for the Sam and Friends show, Kermit was introduced to national audiences in the 1960s thanks to his appearance on Sesame Street.

Keri gave me professional Mermaid Hair! I totally love it!

My colors!

And look what Charlie got me months before he even knew I was going to do mermaid hair!!! Talk about synchronicity!

Sunday we had the traditional putt putt competition, which (not bragging – LOL!) I won for the third time in a row! Then Angie & Tavish fed the gators! After that came the crab leg feast!!!

Another fabulous Werz family celebration is in the history books! Life Is Good! Back in the camper with the pupsters curled up beside me just as the rain starts falling. We’ll all sleep well tonight!
