We’re finally at Newport News city campground to celebrate Christopher’s birthday! It was initially delayed by my broken foot, then by snow & again by floods & mud, but here we are last!

Friday we met Cousin Larry at Pierces Pit BBQ for lunch, always a deliciously good time! After loading his cooler up with frozen grassfed beef & pork, plus slow cooked ham we said our goodbyes!
Saturday was a gorgeous day! We were surprised to learn that the Colonial Parkway was closed for renovations, as too was the driving loop around Jamestown Island! However we DID score Christopher’s lifetime America the Beautiful national park pass as he’s now 62!
Back at the campground we strung up our new programmable led light rope inside the camper. SO FUN! Simply delightful!

Decided to splurge on some Japanese Steakhouse chicken & shrimp for dinner! Yum!

Sunday was a roll & stroll around Colonial Williamsburg with our “sled dawgs” pulling my wheelchair! Truly hysterically funny!

We hit Frothy Moon brew pub for lunch with live Irish music, then back to the campsite in time for Capitals hockey at 3:30. In todays victory over the evil Kraken Ovi SCORED! The Great 8 only needs nine more goals to break Gretzkys all time record!

Truth.
