Interesting math fact: It’s going to be a pretty unique year—mathematically speaking. 2025 is the rare perfect square year, meaning it’s the square of an integer: 45. Soak it in, because this will be the last perfect square year you will likely experience: The last time it happened was 1936 (the square of 44) and the next time will be in 2116 (46 squared). Yes, clearly I am a geek.

Who knew? January 5th is National Bird Day! So – yay me!!! I refilled our bird feeders in anticipation of the winter storm expected to hit later today. Have to help our local feathered friends after all!

Snow & sleet are due to start any time now. We’re expecting anywhere from 5″ to a foot accumulation. I baked a loaf of seeded rye to have with goulash tomorrow, as well as a lovely banana bread. Chris has split a lot of the old wood as well as the new. We staged wood & kindling on the front walk to make keeping fires going a lot easier!

It is to laugh… Jeff Bezos, billionaire owner of the Washington Post is so thin skinned that he blocked the Posts Pulitzer Prize Winning political cartoonist from posting an unflattering cartoon about him. Ann Telnaes promptly quit as a result and now the cartoon Bezo’s wanted to kill? It’s front page news around the world -LMFAO!!!

Other political cartoonists are utterly skewering Bezos as a result!
