Our first night in Florida featured a fantastic snow crab feast! The following morning Woody the Wood Stork showed up for snacks.

The truuuck & camper received the deluxe spa treatment next… Washed, detailed, and waxed!

The truuuck is gleaming & the camper is positively blindingly white!

Next on the hit parade was the annual Werz family putt-putt golf championship! Shockingly enough Tavish was not in leg brace or on crutches for the first time in years! He also scored his first ever hole in one!

Charlie staged a comeback hole in one, then Tavish struck gold with a hole in one *again*! Things were looking bleak for the Virginia team as I took a whopping 7 shots on a par 2… Then *I* scored a hole in one!!! And a second hole in one! When the dust settled I was the victor for the second year running, with Tavish in 2nd, Chris 3rd & Charlie last.

Back at home it was football playoffs til bedtime! On Sunday we met Keri, Mason, & Carys at the mall for her Santa photo. She literally RAN up to Santa, climbed into his lap and gave him a big hug! Which had to be a relief after the squirmy hysterically crying child he had before…

Then it was time for the feast! Honeybaked ham, roast turkey breast, green beans, creamed onions, mashed potatoes, gravy & rolls! Deliciously stuffed we sat in Carys’s carefully arranged lineup of chairs so she could pass around the gifts!

Afterwards we brought the puppies into the lanai to play with Carys and their new toys. After many puppy kisses Carys said “I’m going to need a bath, a serious bath.” Suffice to say, they were all ready for bed after that!

Monday morning we met John & Nancy for breakfast at Hi Tulip cafe! Then on to Treasure by the Sea in Flagler Beach for two nights of sheer heavenly bliss! Site 19, nothing but sea grass and sand between us and the ocean!

Listening to the mesmerizing sounds of waves crashing ashore, watching pelicans soar over the ocean and sandpipers dance in the sea foam – pure delight! Sweet felicity! Balm for my battered soul.

“The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach – waiting for a gift from the sea.”
Anne Morrow Lindbergh

In honor of our seaside campsite, tonight I am sporting the No Wake Zone manatee jammies!!!

Tis the Sea-Sun at the Seashore! Sunrise was breathtaking! Starting with fuschia then blood orange, ending in pastel perfection!

Spent a lovely couple hours strolling the beach this morning, first with Chris & da boyz, then alone. I found the tiniest conch & loads of other wonderful shells! Simply sublime way to start the day!

Four fantastic walks on the beach today! Sand in our shoes, pups happily exhausted! Life.Is.Good! Almost eleven thousand sandy steps by three pm. All the windows in the camper are open with cool ocean breezes coursing throughout! It just does not get any better than this!

Two jolly holiday celebrations in the books for 2024 so far! The Dragon of Holly & Cheer is busy spreading joy!
