The pupsters & we are camping at Newport News city campground for the weekend! We met up with BA & Rob for dinner followed by a drive through the Celebration of Lights, which is always delightful! We had been concerned about how it would go as they are on the opposite side of the political spectrum – actually believing the civil war was the war of northern agression and had nothing to do with slavery? But after a brief discussion where they blamed the shortage of wait staff on laziness, & we pointed out that it’s hard to live on under $3 an hour plus tips they spoke only about family.

Cousin Larry dropped by on Saturday for a lovely BBQ at Pierces Pit! So good to see him again! We then opted to head home early, once there I saw a holiday stocking I have been enchanted by was on 1/2 price sale – so, new stocking for me!

A 19 degree night sparked an overwhelming desire to fire up the tulikivi and the cast iron stove. Which also meant I needed to split the logs… Ohhhh I’m a lumberjack & I’m ok!!!!
