Delightful long weekend! First up was brunch at our place with dear friends Pam & Lily (with her two children Beau & Aya!)! So much fun!

While we were catching up with our friends, Charlie & Tavish were blasting across Smith Mountain Lake in Cass’s Cigarette Boat!

Then on Fathers Day Charlie & Tavish arrived here in style! Cruising in a brand new slate gray Mustang convertible rented for their road trip!

After feasting on Dr Ho’s Humble Pie we went to an antique sports car show at Page’s field in “downtown” Batesville. Once home we showed off our newly painted house & rebuilt decks! To celebrate their visit Tavish had Dr Pepper while Charlie & Chris enjoyed Oban 14 year old Scotch .

After a leisurely Monday morning we set off for Grottoes cavern, the oldest show cave in the world! It’s walls are enscribed with autographs by both Union & Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. Sometimes even on the same day?!?

It was a very pleasant 54 degrees in the cave, lovely respite from the 90’s above ground!

When we got back home my new teal umbrella for the deck was waiting for us! Bonus!

All in all a quite delightful long weekend! Life is Good!
