Odds & Ends!

Our First Harvest!!!

We’ve had potted orange & lemon trees for over a decade. The lemon always gives us spicy green “limes” for our tree trimming bloody marys in November, and fat juicy lemons in the dead of winter! But the orange… clearly an underachiever, has only produced fruit the last three years. First, three years ago, it had hard green “oranges” that took two years to turn orange (pithy, woody, desiccated & inedible). Then this year four oranges appeared late spring and grew fat & juicy! I harvested them yesterday and made fresh squeezed OJ!

Is this not adorable? I just ordered it as a clock for the camper!!! It will be SO much cuter than the plain vanilla clock we have now. The story behind this is two fold. First Otter 841 has been in the news this summer for chasing surfers off their surfboards, even taking a bite out of the surfboard! (The videos are hysterically funny!) And two – Merry has always adored otters, so this is a little homage to her in our camper!

Cool stuff in the news! Astronomy first, and then how the “stars” have fallen!

Now to cleanse the palate, as it were!

Portrait Wall Finally Complete!
The new clock is totally perfect!!!
